I have stayed at this hotel many times over many years. Great location on Collins Street, so getting around by foot or tram is easy. The new Club Lounge is a great improvement on the previous and served a great breakfast. The hotel Gym is what you expect it to be but has enough for a workout while you are away from home. Room had a great bathroom and shower. I will be back!

Fantastic location. Beautiful room. The staff were so welcoming and accomodating to every request. We loved the tranquility of the bar area, we felt relaxed. The bar tender made one of the best orange whisky sour's we have ever had. I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel and we will definitely be back again.

Loved our stay and wouldn’t hesitate to return. All staff were friendly and professional. Our room - a Classic King - was spotlessly clean with an extremely comfy king bed. Breakfast was wonderful - so much to choose from and replenished often. My omelette was delicious. Perfect location for a show at Marvel Stadium. Thanks for a wonderful weekend.

The staff here are the best. Each of them were exceptional and that made our stay so enjoyable. The bar manager even organised a screen for us to watch the tennis which was totally beyond our expectations. The rooms are lovely and feel luxurious even if they are a bit dated. The location is convenient. I’m looking forward to staying again.

We recently stayed at the Intercontinental Hotel Rialto in Melbourne for three nights through a Qantas Hotel deal, which included breakfast, access to their club, and a cocktail at the bar. Arriving at the hotel was easy because it was just a 10-minute walk to roll our luggage from the Skybus Terminal at Flinders Street Station. During our stay, we quickly became adept at navigating the free tram zone, utilising a tram stop a few minutes walk from the hotel. The hotel is located very well. The hotel itself has a unique blend of old and new, offering a distinct and memorable atmosphere that really grew on us. The staff were consistently welcoming and professional. We initially intended to use the complimentary pressing service on the day of check-in for a business meeting the following day. However, we were informed that the items needed to be submitted first thing in the morning and would be returned the next afternoon, which posed a challenge for our timeline. Although we inquired about expediting the process, unfortunately, we never received a follow-up. Luckily, the iron in the room proved to be a suitable alternative. While some reviewers have praised the exceptionally comfortable beds, our experience differed. While the linens are top quality, the spongy mattress, coupled with a thick, lumpy feather topper, was too soft for our liking. Requesting the removal of the topper from the second night significantly improved the bed's comfort for the remainder of our stay. The room itself boasted practical features such as a good desk, excellent blackout curtains, effective air conditioning, and reliable hot water with good pressure in the shower. The provided toiletries—shampoo, conditioner, body gel, and moisturizer—were of high quality. On the downside, the Wi-Fi was somewhat patchy, requiring us to resort to hotspotting for reliable internet during Zoom meetings. Additionally, the small TV lacked streaming services and easy casting capabilities, prompting us to rediscover the joy of using our Kindles. The standout highlight of our stay was the Club and its staff. While we only had breakfast at the Club once, opting for the buffet instead, we thoroughly enjoyed the Club's afternoon tea, cocktails and canapés in the evenings. The club staff were friendly, proactive, and quick to top up our drinks, enhancing our overall experience. Speaking of breakfast, the buffet was a real treat. Our soy lattes at the breakfast buffet were particularly well made, and we appreciated the fresh juicing station where we could choose which fruit and vegetables to juice up. The positive aspects of our stay, especially the exceptional club experience, left us with a positive impression of the Intercontinental Hotel Rialto in Melbourne. If another 'Club' deal turned up, we would definitely stay here again.
